CyberSecurity Analyst

**The Role

 

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a talented and dynamic individual to join our IT Department as an IT Security Analyst. This role involves supporting the Cyber Security Operations Team and collaborating with the IT Infrastructure team to effectively manage cyber security threats and respond to incidents across the organisation.

 

Primary Accountabilities:

 

Threat Management

  • Troubleshoot both security and network issues
  • Monitor, Detect and Respond to Cybersecurity incidents and apply escalation points defined by the Head of the Department
  • Work with partnered MSP to ensure Cybersecurity Posture is being actively monitored and any remediation and recommendation are being applied
  • Monitor the EET Fuels Security Management system and assist in the application of responses to identified threats

 

Project Support

  • Assist in technical delivery and adoption of new security systems to ensure safe IT environment.
  • Work with IT Security Lead and OT Security Lead on project delivery

Cyber Security Risk Response

  • Work on Cyber Security initiatives assigned by Line Manager to improve overall Cyber Security Posture of EET Fuels
  • Actions Tasks assigned by the Managed SOC team
  • Support EET Fuels End Users and 3rd parties in addressing Cyber Security measures in the organisation
  • Act as first line support for Cyber Security matters
  • Work with Operational Technology team in enhancing their cybersecurity posture

Compliance

  • Provide ongoing support to other members of the team in making sure regulatory compliance is managed
  • Maintain desired level of GDPR and NIS compliance as defined by Head of Information & Data Security

**About You

 

You will be degree qualified in Cybersecurity/Information Security, Computer Science, IT, systems engineering or a related qualification that is connected to the fields of information security and information technology.

 

Industry relevant professional qualifications e.g., Sec+, CySa+, Vendor Specific – desirable

 

You will have gained experience of working in a highly regulated environment, with detecting and responding to Cyber Security incidents and experience of working within an IT Helpdesk support role. Experience of working with a Managed Service Provider would be useful.

 

You will be working within a Windows enterprise environment, working on cloud environments e.g. Office 365, Azure AD. You will also work with several security solutions: SIEM, EDR, NDR, Firewalls, Web Proxy, CASB, DLP, Vulnerability Scanners

 

You will excel under pressure and meet tight deadlines, effectively managing your time and prioritizing tasks, including handling escalations. You will be directly involved in troubleshooting and resolving IT security incidents. Additionally, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
