The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Coordinator to join our frontline logistics team at Stanlow. This role plays a key part in ensuring the efficient and reliable delivery of fuel, aviation, and chemical products, while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Working in a fast-paced environment, you will coordinate deliveries, liaise with transport partners, and act as a key point of contact between customers, hauliers, and internal teams. You will help ensure operations run smoothly, resolving issues quickly and maintaining strong working relationships.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating and allocating customer orders to transport partners in line with delivery plans
- Monitoring deliveries and resolving any issues through clear and timely communication
- Acting as the main point of contact for hauliers and supporting strong supplier relationships
- Maintaining accurate delivery data and logs to support operational performance
- Supporting delivery planning to ensure customer demand is met efficiently
- Monitoring stock levels for key customers to help prevent supply interruptions
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service, efficiency, and cost performance
This is a varied and hands-on role offering the opportunity to develop within a growing logistics function, with increasing responsibility over time.
About You
We are looking for a proactive and organised individual with experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain operations. You will enjoy working in a fast-moving environment and be confident managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
You will be a strong communicator, able to build effective relationships with both internal teams and external partners, and take a practical, solutions-focused approach to challenges.
You will bring:
- Experience in logistics, transport, or supply chain operations
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Good numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working with data
- Experience using planning, scheduling, or logistics systems
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering results
A level of commercial awareness and an understanding of how operational decisions impact customer service and cost will also be beneficial.
