The Role
We’re currently recruiting for a great opportunity to join our team as an HR Business Partner on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to support peak activity across the business. In this role, you’ll deliver a high‑quality, commercially focused HR service to your assigned areas. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to leaders, managers and colleagues at all levels, providing proactive solutions and expert guidance across organisational design, performance, talent, employee relations, engagement and change activity.
You’ll use people data to drive meaningful action, support the delivery of the HR calendar, lead absence management, and help embed a high‑performance, engaged culture. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll influence, coach and support teams to deliver strong business outcomes.
About You
You’re an experienced HR professional who builds strong relationships across all levels of an organisation. You bring commercial awareness, solid HR expertise and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach, thriving in fast‑paced, unionised environments.
Our ideal candidate will bring:
- Significant HR experience partnering with leaders, managers and colleagues
- Strong employee relations expertise (disciplinary, grievance, absence)
- Experience in heavy manufacturing and unionised environments would be advantageous
- Proven involvement in restructures, TUPE and wider change projects
- CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to interpret people data and turn insights into action
- Confidence to challenge constructively and coach effectively
- Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment
- Up‑to‑date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice
