Human Factors Summer Internship –an eight week Human Factors summer internship placement is available within the HSSEQ team, Commencing in July 2024 and based at Stanlow refinery.

 

You will work closely with the company’s Human Factors Specialist on projects that aim to support safe and reliable performance on critical tasks, and achieve compliance with legislative requirements under COMAH.  Specific projects for 2024 are likely to include the trial and further development of a workload assessment methodology and a review of the current arrangement for safety critical communications.

 

Working as a human factors intern will require you to engage with staff and contractors on the front line as well as those in management positions which requires essential communication skills.  You should also have demonstrable experience of data collection, analysis and reporting.

 

This internship offers an opportunity to learn how a large manufacturing site operates and to gain an understanding of the HSSEQ team’s assurance role.
