**The Role

 

We currently have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our People Team as a Learning & Development Manager.  Reporting to the Head of Learning & Development, the role has been created to support the company wide Learning & Development requirements. 

 

Working with the Head of Learning & Development in implementing the delivery of early careers / talent management platform, overseeing workforce planning to enable utilisation of trainee programmes, succession planning and competence development activities. 

 

The role will require planning and lead attraction, recruitment and the development of early careers/talent management (apprentices, interns and graduates) as well as manage training programmes to ensure that the trainees are developing.  The role will oversee the delivery of planned ‘off job learning’, E Learning and deliver some in-house training.  The role will also act as ‘System Super User’ managing users, workflow and functionality working with the HR Operations Team on the integration with the HR Information system.

 

The role will be responsible for analysis and evaluation of information and implementing improvements, including Training providers, systems and KPI’s.

 

 

**About You

 

Our ideal candidate should hold a Level 3 / 5 Diploma in Learning & Development or Equivalent experience.  CIPD qualified, Degree educated in a relevant field preferred.

 

You should have proven experience within a Learning & Development role, covering technical and development training.  You should have experience of supporting the implementation of new IT Systems and have experience of working within a heavy manufacturing environment.  You should have proven knowledge and working experience of Learning & Development theory and fundamental principles and have experience of managing educational and vocational qualifications including Apprenticeships and Graduate programmes is desirable but not essential.

 

You should be highly organisation with excellent attention to detail and be able to work independently and as part of a Team.  You should have excellent communications and IT skills.
