**The Roles

 

Following internal promotions, we have two vacancies for experienced maintenance technicians to join our refinery Maintenance Team. We are looking for individuals who can deliver proficient and reliable mechanical maintenance support to our Production Units. The ideal candidates will be responsible for overseeing the execution of preventive, legislative, and corrective maintenance tasks on mechanical equipment within the Production Units, ensuring compliance with site HSEQ standards.

 

Principal Accountabilities:

 

  • Proficient in the installation and removal of refinery rotating or static equipment.
  • Skilled in laser alignment techniques for precision machinery.
  • Experienced in maintenance and repair of mechanical seals, bearings, and lubrication systems or static equipment such as heat exchangers and pipework.
  • Capable of handling the fabrication and disassembly of flanges, including material identification and selection.
  • Competent in working in confined spaces while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Proficient in valve removal and reinstatement procedures.
  • Experienced in conducting pressure testing on hoses and other refinery equipment.
  • Skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and standards for effective maintenance activities.
  • Knowledgeable in the maintenance of burners and soot blowers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Possesses basic rigging skills for handling heavy equipment and machinery.
  • Well-versed in refinery safety processes and relevant standards to maintain a secure working environment.

 

**About You

 

Our ideal candidate should have a recognised qualification in a Mechanical field (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ, ONC/HNC), or completion of a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship.  You should have a sound understanding of operational safety management systems, including permit to work, and a thorough awareness of Engineering Quality Standards and management systems.  You should be proficient in Petrochemical repair and manufacturing techniques in both workshops and plant environmentsProficient in IT skills, including MS Office and have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
